An easier changeover
Switch cleaning company without the stress
A clear, friendly changeover plan that covers the details before your first clean.

A well-planned changeover
Changing cleaning company can feel like a lot to organise. We make it easier by working through the details with you: keys, alarms, stock, storage, waste arrangements, the jobs that matter most and anything your old cleaning plan may have missed.
Good office cleaning should be straightforward. We agree what needs cleaning, how often it should be done, when our team can get in and who you can speak to if something needs attention.
During a free site visit, we look at the busiest areas, opening hours, washrooms, kitchens, floors and any extra services you may need. We then give you a clear plan and price, including how standards will be checked and what happens if something is missed.
Five simple steps
- Visit your office: look around, listen to what needs to improve and review your current cleaning plan if available.
- Agree the cleaning: list the jobs, timings, priorities, supplies and anything not included.
- Get everything ready: confirm the team, equipment, products, documents, keys, passes and alarms.
- Start cleaning: make sure you know who to contact and check the most important areas first.
- Review the first few weeks: sort any missed details and write down agreed changes.
We keep you in control
You decide how communication with your current cleaning company is handled. We plan around the information you are able to share and your existing notice period. If employment-transfer rules may apply, the right professional advice should be taken.
Your changeover plan will show what needs doing, who is responsible and when it needs to happen, so nothing important is left until the first day.
Frequently asked questions
Should we wait until the current contract ends?
No. It is often helpful to start planning earlier, while checking the notice period and agreed end date in your current contract.
Will you contact our current cleaning company?
Only if you ask us to and give permission. We will agree with you who handles each part of the changeover.
How do you avoid a gap on day one?
Before the first clean, we confirm the cleaning plan, team, access, stock, waste arrangements, alarms, priority areas and contact details.
What happens in the first month?
We pay extra attention during the first few weeks so access problems or missed details can be sorted quickly.
Can TUPE apply?
It may apply to some cleaning-company changes. Mainstream Cleaning does not give legal advice, so both parties should take the right professional advice where needed.
Can you work around our current end date?
Yes. Once we know the notice period and planned end date, we can agree a practical start date and changeover timetable.
